[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is this normal for Surefire?

I ordered a basic G2 off Surefire's website last Monday.

I recieved a confermation email. but a week later the order status on their website still says "WAITING TO SHIP".

I have not recieved any other emails. I emailed them yesterday and asked then what is going on with my order and I have not recieved a responce yet.

Is their service always this bad? Or did I just get lucky.

The last time I emailed SF, it took 2 days for them to get back to me. I think they're just very busy.

Next time you might want to check the EE. Dealers there can usually save you 10% or so off of full retail. And they charge less for shipping too.

I looked at 3 or 4 dealers and all were out of stock for the G2. So I said screw it, I will just pay a few extra dollars and get it straight from Surefire.

Probably he last time I order directly from them.

The only thing I've ever ordered from them is batteries, and that took about two weeks.

The problem with ordering fro internet or other discounting retailers is that unless SureFire has changed their poicy, they are going to put a stop to sales to those vendors.

In other words, they're gonna fix the price at full retail and force you to order direct.

They couldn't be bothered to give me the honor of even a cursory email to my inquiry, either, so I guess they just don't give a shit or are embarrassed to admit they are price fixing, and I'll have to accept what the guys I ususally order form are telling me.

Sucks, because I love their product, but I'll not be buying anymore of them unless they change that policy.

The one time I ordered direct it took about three weeks.

if you have probs. for some reason and have to cancel your order, let me know, there's outdoors shop here that has them in stock. price would prob. be about the same as Surefire's MSRP
