Ok, I've just read the CNN report on the home page of ar15.com. Now in there it says that the AWB passed 52-47. Now I haven't heard anybody complaining so i guess that doesn't mean it actually passed. What does all this mean?

The AWB extension amendment passed, the bill it would have amended was killed 91-8 Or something like that, no worries, it's still set to expire.

the vote to add it on to the bill about lawsuits against gun companies was passed 52-47.

Now the vote on the bill (with the AWB extension amendment on it) was shot down.

Barring any disasterous changes, the AWB will sunset in September.

I figured it was, I just wasn't clear on how all that worked.

What else was on the Bill that got flushed?

If my thinking is right sounds like we all won and lost at the same time.

I mean the AWB is going to sunset, but Gun makers are still liable for lawsuits that will be filed.

Am I right or misunderstanding it.

If I’m right, Pretty smart on Senate's part. (or lucky break)
