[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Fewest number of posts??? (Page 1 of 2)

I would like to know who has been a member on this board the longest amount of time with the fewest number of posts? I see some individuals posting over 500 times in just two to three months. Do you guys really have anything important to say, or are you just running up your post count? I know I'll get flamed for this (flame suit going on now) but what the hell, just wanted to get it off my chest. |

I for one don't give a damn about a high post count. I've never once made any mention of my “milestone” posts and usually don't even notice that I've “turned over the odometer” until after I've submitted. I lurked here for months before putting my toe in the water. We've had trolls blast out huge numbers of dumbass posts in days that amount to nothing. We've had longtime members with low counts that only post when they have something important to say. The only thing that I notice when it comes to post counts is if there is correlation between a low number, recent registration and "provocative question/comment/statement". That usually indicates troll or someone that's jumping in without lurking to get the feel of the place. Do you guys really have anything important to say, or are you just running up your post count? I'd say that's up to the individual reader to determine, wouldn't you? |

If you'd join up and become a Team Member you could utilize the "SEARCH" function and find out what folks post junk and what folks post help or attempted help. Just another benefit of membership, allows you to seperate the numb-nuts and AWB ad-infinitum posters from those that try to be an asset to the site and others. Mike |

Remember, 500 posts in two-three months is only 7-8 a day. That means you are replying to maybe 1 in 20 threads on the first page of GD on a daily basis. My post count has doubled since around November, and I have never posted an IBTL or +1 or one word reply or any of that. |

| I have been coming here since before I purchased my AR-15 in January of 2000. This site was my main educational tool in deciding what to buy. I registered an account way back then, but lost the username/password because I just didn't post much. Anyway I think there are probably people that have been here longer but post less, but I'm sure I'm pretty high on the list there [:D]. |
