Greetings, ARFCOMers.

I'm looking for a program (freeware/shareware/commercial) that will allow me to select a number of images in a folder, and then batch print them four-on-a-sheet. I can do it manually using a variety of methods, all of which are a real pain in the neck.

Anyone have experience with such a program?

Thanks.

Do you have anything on your computer already, besides paintshop?

ACDSee makes contact sheets that you can print but you have to tell it which images and how many per page.

Woof. Guess I should have logged on last night, eh? OK, one by one.

I use ViewPrint Pro and InfranView, depending on what I want to do. If I'm just scolling through images looking for the one I want, InfranView is much faster. If I'm resizing, renaming, converting .gif or .bmp to .jpg, I can go a lot faster on ViewPrint Pro.

I'm using W2K, but my other notebook has XP Pro. I might mess around with that to see how it works.

That sounds like what I'm looking for. I'll check out the website and investigate further.

Thanks for the tip on the Adobe product. I'll look into that as well.

Thanks, guys. Once again, the ARFCOM oracle has the answers.

A friend of mine purchased an HP inkjet printer last week that came with an application that appeared to do exactly what you're looking for.  Know anybody who recently purchased an HP inkjet printer?

The Windows Picture and Fax Viewer does a very good job at doing what it sounds like you are wanting.  To get into it you can right click on a picture in the folder and select 'open with', then select Picture and Fax Viewer.

From there just follow the simple diretions, you will then be able to check mark all the pictures in that folder that you want to be included in that printing, and be able to choose sizes, number of pics per sheet and so forth.

Big thanks to all. I got the free version of Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0. It's exactly what I was looking for.
