I lived in Phoenix, AZ for almost four years and loved the winter weather. There is just something about shooting in the desert that makes it all the more fun. Plus I spent a lot of time at Ben Avery shredding cardboard and paper when I had the chance. Someday when I'm rich [rolleyes] I hope to have a winter home there. On the other hand trying to shoot in the summer or even fall heat with a hot AR or AK close to your face is absolute murder. Enjoy it while it lasts. The heat is just around the corner. |

Quoted: It's all good, shed a tear for me when it's 120 in the shade during July! Man, I love the heat!!! I'll take 105 over this damn 40 degree crap we have now in the mornings. I know the rest of the country is freezing an snowed in but I moved here for the hot temps. I grew up in Kansas City and also spent a year in Alaska. I've seen and have driven in three feet of snow enough!! You can have that frickin cold weather. Give me the heat anytime!!! I love Arizona too!!! I've lived here since 85... Well....I moved here 6 years ago from northern PRK. The winters here DO kick ass, but I've had enough of that 110-117deg shit. All you guys that say you'd prefer it over 0deg would likely change your mind after the first summer. But then again, I've always been a cold weather person. I never thought I'd miss it. The GF and I are seriously talking about moving to Flagstaff where there's TREES AND COLD WEATHER. The desert has a life and charm of it's own, ESPECIALLY after a good rainfall. A shame it's so goddamn hot. |

I've been here in Phoenix for eight years now. I'm an A/C tech. and love the heat. The smell of sweat is the smell of money. The ladies hardly wearing anything makes the heat even better. It's nice having the lady customers answer the door in their wet t-shirt. I even go shooting on 118 degree days. Not a problem. |
