Samsung 170N.  About $420 from NewEgg.

I like it.

Nice!  How fast did they get it to you?

I ordered a video card (Radeon 9700 Pro) a few weeks ago.  Placed the order around 2PM Pacific time (I'm in San Diego).  The damned thing showed up on my doorstep THE NEXT DAY AT NOON!

Not to rain on your parade, well, er...

Thats 377 + 12 shipping - $389  Man that's a good price.  I've been looking for a 17" flatpanel...

I might have to spring for this one.

Of course, I like the black better, and the cheapest black on I can find was $420 + Shipping.  Ah well, I can live with beige...

For $80 more I would have got a 19" but with no DVI input.

[:)]

But then I need two of them [:(]

Nice SWS,
Looks similar to the one wife got me for Christmas. 19" Dell. Love the 2 USB on the sides instead of fumbling around the back of the PC. Color is above what I was expecting in a LCD screen. The black is jet black and not a charcoal gray like I've seen on some units. Makes images nice and crisp!

It's funny you should ask.

This is the first time that I've ever had a problem with NewEgg and their FedEx shipping routine.  Normally, they get stuff from their CA warehouse to my place in northeast Ohio in two days.  This time, FedEx in Cleveland mishandled the shipment and it actually showed up two days late.

Paul - the 17" is almost too big for my desk as it is now.  And it's so freakin' bright, it's like sitting in front of the sun.

I'm running dual monitors right now, using a Dell 17 inch LCD as my main monitor and an older 17 inch CRT for the secondary.  A great way to work.  If you've got a dual monitor capable graphics card and enough desk space, I highly recommend the set up.

Me too.  Sucks, don't it?

I have 2 19" CRT's.  One is going out, so I have to decide if I want to replace them both with LCD's or just get another CRT.
