So, what did everyone think? Aside from the cheesy Discovery Channel-induced dialog, I thought it rocked! Everything from the soundtrack to the HILARIOUS paintball punishment inflicted on the guy that left work early! I hope this will be a series! Personally, I gotta tell ya', I think it kicked OCC'S cocky ASS! Go Milwaukee Iron! Look out for the T-shirts! |

I thought it sucked, it might have been ok on it's own but they tried to make the owner an ass like the father on Orange County Chopper, he totally was unbelievable in that role, it was so obviously staged, it was stupid, they did fabricate more of thier own items than Occ but it was a very basic bike, the paint scheme was very basic, the handlebars were ugly, the shop was too clean to even be usable. I predict this show will go no where. Orange County Choppers = WWF Milwalkee Iron = Wrestling at the county fair. |

I thought building the bike was pretty cool, but it seemed that the guy splitting early and the paintball thing was a put-on. I mean the show was going fine, I was really digging the craftsmanship involved, then there's an obvious cut and it seemed the boss and worker were acting out some BS "reality" requirement for ratings. It was like the producer said, "Well we aren't going to get any ratings if there's no yelling, fighting, obscure behavior, or sex (which wasn't going to happen in that shop), so you need to make beleive that you have to leave early and then the boss gets mad." I think the paintball thing was funny as hell, and it's obvious that those guys are pretty tight as a team, but reality? Nah, not even close. Ross |

I fell asleep right around the time the wheels got there, so I didn't see the finished project. |

As far as craftmanship, and skill these guys beat OCC all to hell. They may not be as 'Artsy' as OCC but I would trust their product to hold up to every day use. I didn't see any obvious mistakes such as using excessive heat on the frame that will upset the metalurgy like OCC does all the time!! |

I thought the bike was horrible looking when it was done, but I was glad to see that they actually made all the parts themselves. The old dude with the beard was a trip, I knew guy that laughed like him once. I generally watch these shows to see how they do things more than I do for the entertainment of watching two juicers yell at each other (like OCC), and for that aspect Southern Chopper was great. What totally SUCKED was that stupid American Hot Rod. My god that was a snooze fest. |
