Yup...they've created night-vision contacts that are powered by blinking.  IF these are real, I want a set!

Wow.  I'd need to upgrade to my ML to a CompM2.

Sounds absolutely fantastic! I want a pair NOW (I have poor night vision, BTW. One source of light and my pupils shrink and I can't see jack; night driving sucks).

Phosphor... Isn't that kind of.. Radioactive? Now who the heck would want to be in direct contact with radioactive material for extended periods of time? In the eyes of all places at that.
Edit: I remember reading stories of ladies who painted the phosphor dials on gauges durring WW2 getting cancer. That's why I'm this critical of this. Please correct me if I'm either wrong or give me proof that this CAN'T cause cancer.

I'm also skeptical about a "thin layer of neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) gel" being applied to the inner eyelid.  Would that be a one-time deal or would eyedrops of some sort work?  Doesn't sound pleasant either way.  Sounds too good to be true.
