Ok everybody we are in the final year of the AWB.  We need to all join together and get rid of this god awful ban.  Only 9 months left.  If you haven't done anything to help up to this point then get your butt in gear and start!  If you already have done things then great but don't forget to keep fighting!!

I am going out the door right now to send 4 more letters to my congress representatives as well as letters donating additional money to the NRA and the GOA.

I also got 3 friends more interested in shooting last week and I am working on getting them more involved in the fight.

The time is here!!!

I am going to start mailing my Congressmen this week.  I should have done it earlier, of course, but every letter helps, I imagine.

This is going to be the longest nine months of my life, next to my wife's second pregnancy. All kidding aside, it never hurts to keep posting friendly reminders like this one so we reach more members at various times of the day. The tacked threads are very helpful too but sometimes people just ignore them and scroll down. This is one topic that should be granted unlimited cloning.

Anybody know what part of the NRA we should send our nickels to for maximum impact, given the likely influence of the New Alien & Sedition Act on NRA expenditures? NRA-ILA? PVF? Plain ol' NRA?

FLAL1A,

I wrote the head reps of the NRA and told them exactly how I expected them to handle the AWB in the coming year.  If they do not handle it properly I made it clear that my donations and support would diminish.

As to what part of the NRA to send money to I usually just send it to the plain NRA but I include a letter stating exactly where I want the money to go.

I think you're on the right track. My concern is that I send $100 to [fill in organization here] and then hear President Kucinich laughing in 2005 about how the NRA had $Xmillion but couldn't spend it effectively because of McCain-Feingold. I'm wondering exactly where to send the $$$ to ensure that it turns into the biggest possible political hammer for the RKBA.

NRA-ILA is their 'PAC'...

That is the 'arm' that is least restrained by the MF law...

PACs are allowed to do most of what they used to, they're just required to disclose more...

The parent organizations are required to use their PACs for more action then they used to...

So send it to the NRA-ILA...

As for wannabe-'President Kucinich', I would like to have him answer how his 'Department of Peace' would handle Kim Jong Il or Osama????

I mean, is Mr Hippy gonna send the 'Ambassador of Peace' over with a boquet of poppies, some MJ, and a bong? [lol]
