I have to go in to the Kaiser L.A. Medical Center on Sunset tomorrow. Are there any good Cuban (or other) restaurants around there where I can get lunch? I HATE driving aimlessly around LA, but I'd love to find some good chow. Also, any good (discount) shopping around there? Thanks |

You oughta be able to find a bunch of good places. El Cochinito on Sunset closer to downtown is supposed to be pretty good. Never ate their though. That part of town seems to have a whole truckload of small immigrant places. Long as it has a B or A in the window and is close to a good parking place, I'm willing to give it a shot. Always see a bunch of places that look fascinating when we drive through. Pink's is about 3/4 mile from Ma danby's Uncle's place so we usually hit there. Ma and the kids aren't quite as experimental as I am. (Although the youngest decided he liked the Lebanese place we stopped at tonight.) |
