Lots of Amazon talk today.
Which is better and why? |
| Amazon. Good prices and I don't even have to leave the basement. Also I can read product reviews and generally get more information from Amazon versus walking around Walmart (even if I used their online site there aren't many reviews and they only list the minimum amount of info they need to sell the product). |
| Food at Walmart.com is better because you don't have to buy a whole case. Over $35? free two day shipping and no member fees. |

Man Walmart takes a good chunck of cash from my household. We get everything there. TP, dogfood, laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo all that shit.
Hell I even buy ammo there. Cant beat their prices. I dont really buy food their though, maybe doritos or bread sometimes. I never really buy anything from amazon, ebay sometimes. Walmart is a great place to get supplies for cheap. Cant ever spend less than a $100 there though. Attached File |

Both Amazon and Walmart were Hillary supporting fucking communists. Why would you give your hard earned money to either? I haven't bought anything from either since the beginning of the year. If I was rich Id shop elsewhere but Im not rich so I shop where I can save money. Here in the real world my decisions are made on whats best for my wallet not based on political shit.

Amazon has a better selection for the moment. When I buy 3rd party from Amazon it's only the ones that are fulfilled by Amazon, at least the item will be in one of their warehouses.
Walmart.com also has a 3rd party setup. I pay sales tax on Amazon(ship and sold by amazon) just as I would at Walmart. I don't see the better prices that people say Amazon has, they used to but I can find stuff the same price or a tad bit cheaper. I use both amazon.com and walmart.com and I'm not scared to leave my house and go to an actual walmart to shop and pick up stuff. I have noticed that some stuff at walmart.com is cheaper than it is in store so those cases i'll just order it and have it waiting up front. If amazon and walmart are within a few dollars of each and the local walmart has the item. I'll go get it. If it's not in store. I'll use amazon simply because I pay for prime so may as well use the 2day shipping as much as possible, but I tend to use the other prime features to make the yearly fee worth it. |

The Wal-Mart near me is very clean, albeit crowded. All the Wal-Mart's I have been to in Boise are clean and sometimes crowded. Amazon allows me to fulfil my compulsive shopping disorder all hours of the day so I choose Amazon. |

What i buy from wally world? Oil and filters.
they dont have much else I want. Ammo? online. Walmart is a giant convenience store full of things I might have to settle for in a pinch. Amazon has many vendors Amazon will also deliver a lot of things same day, next day, generally within 2 and sometimes longer depending on the item/vendor. ETA- food? amazon pantry.. but Amazon now owns Whole Foods as well |

I heard Wally bought Jet. Was that deal finalized?
My Wally is on the far East side of town. I live a couple blocks away. It doesn't seem to bring in the really bad demographics. It is a clean and well maintained store.  Go closer to the Air Force Base, down in slum apartment central, and the stores are truly third world. Low end selection for goods, security guards, dirty stores, pan handlers, druggies, etc. This isn't more than 5-10 minutes further down the road.  I buy a lot on line and from Amazon. It is nice to not need to drive around to find a good price, or not to order something and have to drive to pick it up. Too bad so many retailers missed the boat with the on line shopping. They already had a good distribution network in place, but did not keep up with the shipping infrastructure or the intarwebs ordering.  |
| We are heavy users of Amazon. Since January 1, 2017 we have placed 124 orders for 242 items totaling about $4,800. In 2016 we had 206 orders for 379 items totaling $8,500 with Amazon. We are trying to switch over to Walmart but they have a LONG way to go online. Their selection is very low compared to Amazon. Most products also don't have reviews. Most products also aren't sold by Walmart so they aren't covered under any kind of blanket return policy like Amazon has. Walmart's list function SUCKS bad. Other then that Walmart online is fine. I like supporting someone other then Amazon and also being able to pick up a lot of items quickly. But Walmart has a really long way to go to come even close to what Amazon has. |

Interesting you say that, that has been my experience also. I always check on Walmart.com before buying and find some items are cheaper. Sometime by significant amounts. Like some canned goods were $35 in store but online they were on sale for $25. |

I use both.
Amazon has more of a selection and their reviews/info is much better. Walmart is typically quite a bit cheaper. The wally-world store close to me is usually really busy, but is clean and well maintained. Walmart also delivers. I also use costco. The also deliver. Their closest store is about an hour away, so we usually hit it about once a month. All three suck for politics, but not really much else around. |
