When viewing pictures, I use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.  That is the mouse wheels only function.  The computer does not tell me what picture viewing program I'm using, but it is from Microsoft.

For no reason the mouse wheel now changes pictures instead of zooming in and out.  Restarting the computer did not fix this.  Googling the problem produced no usable results.

Maybe there is a hotkey that got pushed accidently.  I never use hotkeys, so I don't know about them, and will never want to have them.

A.  Anybody know how to make the mouse wheel zoom in and out?

B.  Anybody know how to turn off all hotkeys?  I never use hotkeys, so they only cause problems, never benefits.

Thanks in advance.

Lots of apps are moving from zoom to switch photo on their image viewers.

You'll have to hold the CTRL key down while using the mouse wheel to make it zoom now.

Otherwise you can probably find a small free picture viewer that does what you want.

Did your default app for viewing pictures change?
When I open a picture with Windows Photo Viewer the scroll button zooms on my desktop computer (Windows 10 Creator).
Check to see what your default app is for viewing pics, <settings><apps><default apps> and change it to Windows Photo Viewer.

Hold control and see if that allows you to scroll zoom again

Holding down control does make the scroll wheel work again.

Is there any way to make scroll-zoom permanent?

The default viewer is "Photos",  "Microsoft Photo Viewer" is not an option.  Perhaps there is a way to put it on the computer.

Thanks guys.  I'll try the control scroll and try to live with it.

Microsoft, when you change things, do change them for the better, don't change them for the worse.
