I know this topic gets beaten, but I only need two cameras I can setup while on vacation...I plan to upgrade later, if needed.
Doesn't need to be the best, but something I can view on my android device via wifi. Will be for outside and a battery powered unit is fine if that's what I need to use. I could also set them up inside and view through the window. |

I'm happy with my Netgear Arlo Q. They make different models in the Arlo line. Some are battery powered, some you plug into the wall. They have 2 and 4 cam kits at Best Buy.
I have an iPhone but I don't see why the Android app would be any different. I check mine multiple times a day to check in on my dog. It's always quick to load and the quality is good. |

Wifi cameras are a bad idea. Any decent robber can disrupt the signal easily rendering them worthless.
Spend the time and go with wired cameras that can not be rendered useless with a signal disruptor. If you are set on wifi cameras add a fake wire to confuse an intruder. |

I figured they could be tampered with, but I read up on it last night and was surprised how easily it can be done. |
