I've been kicking around the idea of getting a reproduction cannon (Civil War era - or other).
I was thinking of having it as a yard ornament to defend my home. But I'd also like something that I can load up with some black powder and touch off during the Holidays and Summer Parties that'll make a lot of smoke and noise. It doesn't need to fire a projectile. Does anyone know and/or collect cannons? What are some reproduction companies? I found this one online: http://www.cannonsmoke.com/ |

Mail order, black powder cannons... until you said it didn't have to fire.

There was a really cool thread in the black powder forum about guys with cannons.
I think the most popular were bowling ball and pool balls if memory serves. Must have gone to archive. I'll see if I can find it tonight. Tons of working reproductions, with who makes them, etc Edit: Found This one, but there's another I'm thinking about... |
