Not a trapper but wouldn't that foxes leg / paw be wrecked by that trap? I'd think releasing it in that condition would be crueler than just shooting it. ![]() Failed To Load Title |

FWIW, that vocalization stirred up my dogs something fierce, got them outside barking then back in staring at the monitor/speakers. Told them I didn't have any foxes trapped in here but they had to check anyways. This guy is a dumb ass as has been previously mentioned. I don't think the rabies series of shots is as bad as you guys seem to think, my neighbor got bite pretty good from a pit bull that had broken through a fence and was attacking my elderly neighbor across the street. Had I been home I would have shot the fucking dog but I wasn't. Anyways he had to get the rabies series of shots and I said oh shit I heard that sucks and he was like nah it wasn't that bad. This isn't from a tough guy either. |
The younger crowd may not remember this, but it was always fun to watch Jim get his ass handed to him by critters.

Stupid, unsearchable, clickbait thread titles can fuck off. Those threads should be deleted immediately. Posting them AND calling dupe when it inevitably happens should be COC violations.

Had the same kinda thing happen to me, but it was with a friends pet wolf that I had stopped petting. She wasn't done.
Mine ended up a bit different with a canine puncture through my finger and 7 other holes in my hand. Same story, the tighter I held her, the harder she clamped, but when I released her, she just let me go... I petted her and went for the first aid kit. Honestly, it was a simple misunderstanding with a sweetheart that just happened to have 400psi of biting strength. |

Why is he trapping foxes and releasing them? He didn't intend to catch a fox? That's the thing with a leg hold trap. The animal isn't killed or injured, so if it's not the species you were targeting, you let go. Of course, that requires a trapper to inspect their trapline a minimum of every twenty-four hours. Why didn't he wear gloves? I would have had some good gloves for that. Gloves are always a good idea, but what he really needed to use was a release pole. A stick with a Y on the end to pin the fox's head down, and control it while he released it's leg so neither he nor the animal gets injured. Quoted:

Play stupid games... Why would you do catch and release when trapping??? Is there something I'm not getting here? Fuck, some of you guys sound like a PeTArds. |
| Some of you treehuggers need to do some research on trapping before being judgemental. That leghold trap would not mess its paw up at all and the fox was completely unharmed. Todays traps are designed to just hold the paw firmly, not crush it. Most of the time when I walk up on an animal in a leghold they are sleeping and obviously not in pain and if they are released they take off without even a limp. |

LOL, it's sad how many people post without having a fucking clue about what they're talking about.
Steel traps don't harm the animal. No trapper wants to injure the animal, so they use appropriately sized traps. They simply hold the animal. No damage. No broken bones. No maimed critters. Just firmly grasped by the paw. If you're quiet on your approach, often the animal is sleeping when you get there. Trapping is the most efficient way to control predator and other furbearer populations, to minimize predation AND reduce disease outbreaks. It is unfortunate how PETA has infiltrated even ARFCOM with their falsehoods, and how so many people buy into it. |

Was the guy's name Jim.
Marlin says hey Jim why don't you see if he bites. Ok marlin sure thing. Marlin- hey Jim that is a wonderful specimen of an anaconda. And it is a rather big one swimming in the murky water with the Cayman and electric eels. How about you jump in and get it so we can get a closer look at it. I used to love that show as a kid. Ole Jim was one brave brass ball dude. |

What's the point of the trap if he's going to release the animals. And if it's out of season, why is the trap out there to start with. Listen to his vid. The guy is a fucking nut doing this for youtube hits. Fuck him and his crusty socks. Ed Quoted:

Unless you are in fox season, you gotta let the fox go unharmed. |
