I'm more curious what can be done if massive (even that needs to be defined) fraud is found say in CA in a national (fed office) election.
What IS the penalty, not what should be the penalty. I know there are election nullification laws but I really have no idea of their scope. As best as i can tell it's very limited. If nothing else if the commission can prove that there is widespread fraud a national voter ID law could be passed or at the very least state voter ID laws would have a better chance in court. |

They think they can find all the duplicates. It won't work, of course. First, the Federal government doesn't hold elections, the several states do. Second, there is no way to sort everyone out. They can TRY with Social Security Numbers, but they cannot be verified. (Further, they were never intended for ID; my card even says so.) Birth Certificates are a total joke. If you really stop and think about it, there is NO way a stranger can tell if the person listed on your birth certificate is actually you. The only way anyone could do this is with a National Identification Card issued at birth with some sort of security feature such as a DNA ID. That is an idea that has been adverse to everyone for years, because. freedom. Honestly, someone had better figure out how to make those lists secure. There is actual proof that someone (and yeah, all the signs point to the Russkies) tried to hack into the Arizona voter rolls. We've been told they weren't successful. Voting is sacred; it's all we have. We need to protect it from ALL kinds of abuse. |

| Voter rolls have to be checked once to find people crossing state lines and voting more then once. Here they had buses moving Obama voters from town to town, they were caught and nothing was done. Then there is illegal aliens that are voting, nobody checks in liberal states like this crappy place. IT has to be done once and for all and the blue states are going to resist to protect their base. |

it takes outrage for things to change and Trump is great at creating outrage.
liberals voting twice, illegals voting in cali, dead voting in Illinois, and then the base keeps it going until they feel a large enough force and change must be needed. bingo trump will tweet and fire up the media and a new voting standard will be on the way. |

| Been voting almost 50 years. It has never been a secret ballot. Got to the voting place and sign the book for your voting district. They assign you a number stating that you are the xyz voter from that district to vote today. Then all they have to do with the old machines was to see what the tape in position xyz looks like. And they know how you voted. Even easier today with computer ballots. |
