Remember THE STARSHIP? Basically it was a 707 rock bands of the 70s could rent as a flying hotel/tour bus/bordello. When ABB rented it for a tour, they found "welcome Allman Brothers" written on the bar top in cocaine. The groups that had it are the biggies of the 70s rock scene: Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Deep Purple.
Sadly, in time the plane was warehoused and then parted out. But still, if only those walls could talk... So, why isn't there a new version of The Starship for bands today? Becaause man, that would kick ass. Yeah, the bands today mostly are full of pussies, but maybe, just maybe having a 747 with private fuck rooms and a 30 foot bar and cocaine would make them suck a little bit less. |
