The hearing protection thread got me thinking is there a good setup with comms besides Peltor?

Not trying to be cheap but Peltor cost is expensive. I know go be poor somewhere else and all.

I have a set of MSA Sordins that I love.  I've also got a few plugs, jacks, and adapters for a few radios I have.  It's kind of a backburner project but I want to come up with a system and ideally it would include a Sena bluetooth intercom in addition to the radio.  I have to get looking at that stuff again and try some things.

Howard Leight Impact™ Sport Earmuff

A 3.5mm cord goes to a splitter (so sound goes into both left and right side) then into a hand microphone which is connected to a hand held radio.
