Like sheep being led to the slaughter.

Looks like more of a way to pay for digital subscriptions via Facebook I am kind of wondering if they are shooting for more of a "paypal" type service from which to skim money. That does open the door for "paid subscription content" for blogs, groups, and live videos. It won't work, they are too far behind and they are one of the worst offenders for censorship and everybody knows it. Nobody will hang their hat on their little side business there. |

Facebook has a problem. Younger folks (Gen Z, youngest Millennials) are not signing up for it in droves like Gen ETA: I had a typo, meant to say Gen Z and youngest Millennials aren't signing up as much as Gen X did... |

That being said, they have enough critical mass that if they get exclusives to good content, and offer the publishers the full suite of their info graph on their users, they might pull it off. The old chestnut that Facebook users aren't the customers, they're the product; that applies to all the publishers and business on FB as well. Free to the publisher is pretty enticing when you have a bottom line to even out. |

FB has some new system of "Pay for it through Facebook!" in the for sale groups. I am kind of wondering if they are shooting for more of a "paypal" type service from which to skim money. This is a good thing. It will kill Facebook. Of course many on the right refuse to engage and then just complain about how biased things are. Â Well companies do cater their product to their audience which in this case is mainly the center and left. Â So look at this way, the Facebook market share is an indicator of the opposition to everything you believe politically. Â Facebook is going to get larger and many here proudly claim "I don't use social media (even though you are on this site)". Â It take about 2 brain cells to see how this is going to play out for you all. Â Adapt and survive... |

No one. No one reads the articles. Its hilarious. This is how people get their information in the modern age. They read at headline depth and call themselves informed. Quoted:

You can tell who didn't read the article. I will help the people who didn't read the article. Â Facebook is looking to be a digital clearinghouse/market place for paid content. Â Writers can use Facebook to promote their personal content. Â It has nothing to do with people posting pictures of what they had for lunch. Â Following my previous post, the correct action would be for conservative people to start using Facebook's platform to promote and deliver their content to Facebook users. |

This-my 16 y.o. son barely checks his Facebook account-Whatsapp to keep up with German mom's relatives in the Old World, Snapchat, Instragram, Skype, and Discord with his friends. Quoted:

Is there some stats on this? Every single young person I know is on FB, though they seem to use IG more maybe. Quoted:

It's not "cool" anymore. Yes, that seems very helicopter-parenty, but I'm a former prosecutor and former defense attorney who handled plenty of child sex crimes. Given what I know about online predators and young kids' susceptibility to trusting strangers, I would do it too. |
