Is coinbase the go to for getting started with buying crypto currency?
I'm mostly looking at it as an investment right now, but some day I hope to be able to easily use it to buy stuff. Is there an idiots/beginners guide somewhere for this stuff? The closest thing I can imagine this stuff being is a weird mash up of stocks/pms and PayPal. Is that too far off? |

Coinbase seems to be the main place to buy it.
Years ago I tried opening an account with Mt Gox. It took forever, and then it collapsed. I opened an account with Coinbase but I've never bought bitcoin. Tim Ferriss had a great in-depth interview about bitcoin's history and its future recently. It's the best material on bitcoin I've heard.
