Queen size. Mine just ripped. Need new ones.
What thread count and cotton should I be looking at? I ain't rich but, I'd like something decent and soft. |

Thread count at least 600. I prefer sateen to percale weave. And if you can, get striped sheets because it makes it easier to know which way to place the sheets.

Do you want something that breathes, cotton.
If you want something warm, micro fiber. Both can be soft. Key is thread count and longer strands. If you want cotton, avoid egyptian like/style products on Amazon. They are microfiber not cotton and not real Egyptian cotton. Annoyed me so much I didn't buy anything off there. I like cotton sheets because it is hot here and I hate being hot at night. I got combed cotton around 400 count. I love them. I'm sure there are better but I'm pretty picky on my sheets and like what I got. They were Calvin Klein. Surprised me since I didn't know they sold sheets and figured they would only sell product based on brand but they passed my touch test. Got them at Marshall's. |

my mom got me (for christmas) some Egyption cotton sheets about 8 years ago,not sure of the thread count, she paid $150 for them, they are the most comfortable sheets I've ever had. they were getting a little worn after 8 years. so last December I bought some egyption cotton 800thread count sheets from JCP for about $90, not as good
I'm back to using the old ones |

I went bamboo this last time. Got these a couple weeks ago and they are fucking amazing:

I get mine from restoration hardware, expensive but comfortable as fuck.
I have a cali king bed and mostly use Belgium linen but sleeping on high thread count Egyptian Cotton ones tonight. Like I said, they are expensive as fuck, but are some of the best sheets I have ever used |

My ass can't tell anything over 300 count.
I bought Overstock last time I bought, I'd start on Amazon today but hey, why not check Overstock. It's all about the O. When the sheets are getting worn thin, don't put your window air conditioner on them. Just saying. |

Cotton and bamboo mix. Fells nice. careful with the thread count. Too high and it doesnt breath as well and gets hot and sweaty in warmer climates. Some article I read said to stick around 300 for the ideal thread count for sheets. |
