| Listened to BBC all morning to see how they were covering the terrorist attack. They were doing multiple interviews with dozens of different people some who had been at the attack, others who lived in Manchester etc. The reoccurring theme that I kept hearing was we don't want to jump to conclusions, we don't want to promote hate, we are an inclusive society. Someone intentionally detonates themselves at a venue designed to draw children and young people and your response is to state you don't want the world to think you are not inclusive enough. Wow and to think the British Empire once spanned the globe. |

To play devils advocate, how do you think the brits view us if their only perspective is American Media? The BBC is the CNN over there. I would take their "reporting" with a hefty dose of salt.

Also Tucker Carlson just interviewed a female British reporter who is already being investigated for tweeting that is was time for British men to stand up for their families and country. Obviously she's a racist. ![]() |

To be fair, she is being investigated for her "final solution" comments which have since been deleted. Everyone knows what "final solution" means but she insisted that it was just misinterpreted. |

But where's their Fox, Breitbart etc? (Yes I know there are some small conservative British news companies, but they aren't huge) |

(Yes I know there are some small conservative British news companies, but they aren't huge) Americans seem more inclined to want news to suit their political leanings, hence you get a very polarised news coverage and be told how they should think about it. I find that cringeworthy and patronising on both sides of the political rift. I know there is bias in all media, and that applies to the UK as well, but I just want to be given the facts and make up our mind from there. It is frustrating that there is a left leaning in the BBC at the moment, but they do still provide facts. Focus in the facts an the relevant guff that goes with it can be ignored. |
