Or turning the Mk18 from a "special upper" into a dedicated PDW that gets issued ready-to-go.
10.3-10.5" 1/7 twist barrel with a shortened flash hider 3-position (Safe-semi-auto) FCG (Geissele SSF if I could choose) Aimpoint T-1 on Larue mount with storage for 1-2 extra batteries Geissele M-4 rail (or something lighter, I'm not super "rail-saavy" these days) LWRC UICW buttstock Magpul MOE-K pistol grip Issue kit would also include 4-20rd PMags to be used when most compact profile is needed. The M-1 Carbine was the smartest US small arm decision of WW2. It's time to do it 21st-century style. Discuss. |

OK, I'll bite.
"The M-1 Carbine was the smartest US small arm decision of WW2" The .30 Carbine drops like a lead zeppelin at 200 meters. If I had to carry that POS durring WWII I feel naked. Now the idea of a 10 inch 5.56 is fine. You can realistically get 300 meters out of a 10 inch 5.56. |

Sincerest form of flattery and all that. Your two are kitted-out "SOCOM snake-eater" style, but the bottom one minus the can and electronics needs to be an issue item. Hand them out the same way we did the Carbine.
