ETA: The Boy Scout troop in Jackson Hole used to get to go to the National Elk Refuge and pick up all the sheds to sell at the auction. They were the wealthiest boy scout troop in the nation and took camping trips to Peru and shit. |

Wow. How much does a nice set fetch? I used to buy a lot of antler when I was working it. Belt buckles, cribbage boards, pipes, etc. |

Jumpin Jesus!! Last time I bought elk antler (~20 years ago) it was like $20 a pound for kills and first year drops. $8-10 a pound if the porcupines had been nibbling on them or they were bleached out.
If they can get that kind of dough for antler, more power to them. As somebody who used to deal in antlers, I just find it unfathomable. |
| Noice. I would mount that rack. |
