Doctor may prescribe Methyltrexate(sp) for 6 weeks to 6 months, if that doesn't work well he will offer a biologic med that comes with a metric ton of warnings that will tell you that you could catch........fill in the blank.  And it will scare the crap out of you.  But less than a year and my buddy working in good order again and didn't really notice any health issues.  Of course he is a very healthy sturdy guy to begin with.

It's clear you have all of the following:
Gout
Prepatellar bursitis
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Lyme Disease
Reiter's Syndrome
Osteoarthritis
Derangement of one or more ligaments of the knees

You no doubt caught them in alphabetical order.
