I was at Racetrac yesterday and saw a guitar player named Nick Earl walking up. I said hey and he came over to me. Asked if he was across the street rehearsing. He said yes, so I asked who he was playing with. A totally unassuming and nice guy, he said Tripping Daisy.

The magnitude of the event hit as I drove away. The music and musicians of my day are as vital now as they have ever been. To casually run into one of the coolest, most creative guitar players around and find that he's playing in the reunited Tripping Daisy, it's evidence of a persistent, pervasive energy that is nowhere close to burning out.

Did they have any hits aside from "I gotta girl"?

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that it isn't about the hit(s).
