I got one of the 299 superbowl specials brownells had.  I think its a psa, or anderson.  Took it out on easter and its good to go.  Whats not to like about a inexpensive firearm?  I have a canik that will hit a propane tank at 90 yds almost every time.  Love it!

Well a little over $300 but I bought 10 Pmags and basically got a BCG for $40
$140 barreled upper
$55 Anderson Lower
$30 LPK
$30 reciever extension kit
$70 BCG
And it shoots!

PSA has their CHF pinned 14.7 in kit for $399 at this time.  I it drops below $350 I might start buying again.  I'm stuffed with the economical uppers and other stuff.

Also worth noting $225 Colt Expanse upper
DSG uppers for $200

The Colt Expanse is a great bargain!

No reason not to. If you are familiar with ARs even if there is a issue most can fix it themselves.

Now is the time to buy, or maybe wait a little longer for ammo to drop more.

Buy what you want/need because this won't last forever.

Not a rack, but if prices keep falling, an A2 crate table would be way cooler than one with mosins.

No.  Their PTAC kits with the nitrate barrel are economical, not junk which is fine for many people.  Not everyone needs a premium rifle.

It doesn't sound like much, but I've been doing a dedicated $50-75/biweekly psycheck to Ammo.

I've realized I am loaded up with weapons but don't have ammo to push them for a few years.i look at the cycle. Every 3-4 years it's something. Obama. Then sandy hook. Then elections. There's a year of salad days then 2 of ass puckering.

I'd like give or take 10k 22, 4-6k 5.56, 4-6k 7.62x39, 8-10k 45, 8-10k 9mm. For the pistols I'll be satisfied with the reload components and work on them at a later date.

I haven't been diligent on Ammo. My price is laughable to most, but stockpile during the salad days

It's hard not to, but I have all I need and rarely to never sell any, so hard to justify it.

The colt 6920s for $650 and the LWRCI DIs for ~$1,000 are very very tempting.

In the same boat.  Have some complete rifles that still need new optics and SSA-E upgrades. So I'll be stocking up on BCGs, other misc parts, mags & ammo.  If there's anything the last few panics have taught me...no such thing as too much mags/ammo.
5/3/2017 9:37:06 PM EDT

I'm not.

I stocked up all year before the election. As of right now I've got 5 unassembled AR's sitting in boxes in addition to my other ones.

I'm enjoying the temporary reprieve and buying stuff like revolvers.

We ran 330 rounds full auto in rapid succession thru a PTAC upper with a titanium can on the end, which melted the baffles and handguards. Zero FTF with the $89 phosphate BCG, cleaned up nicely afterwards and still runs like a top.

It was hot enough shit was glowing.  I've got no qualms about PSA mid to upper grade shit after that.

That rifle ate 2500rds that day and 1000 were after the melted can.

What is your gas tube to rifle ratio?  I have never worn out a gas tube so I only keep one each of carbine, mid and rifle length, should I have more?

I have 38 assembled ready to fire AR type rifle right now.

I would have to count gas tubes but my guess is well over 100 total including (pistol, carbine, mid, and rifle) for the AR15 platform and more than enough to cover my 308's.

I'm not saying anyone needs this many but anytime I find a deal I usually buy them out.

I was asked in particular about gas tubes.

I have bought large quantities of every part that goes into the AR platform. For future builds and for repairs.
