Where I've spent the past week sleeping.  This is my backyard.  Too lazy to pack up the car for a real camping trip, and honestly, anymore I find camping in PA to be underwhelming as it's very difficult to really get away unless you are backpacking and even than its difficult to escape the presence of other people..and by that I mean you could spend hours hiking into someplace only to spend the night hearing vehicle traffic from a highway or interstate that is a few miles away.

Tent is a Kodiak Canvas 10x10.  15 min or less to setup and stays dry inside, we've had a fair bit of rain the past two day or so and I haven't had a drop of water inside...only drawback is being canvas it needs to be completely dry and moisture free before putting it away, ideally it needs to sit in the sun for a day in dry weather.  Since no sun is forecast for the next week or so here, this thing will be staying up for another week at least, though I may end up just putting some hooks in my basement ceiling and stretching it out. let it hang to dry.

Cot is a Cabelas outfitter XL, and honestly is giving me the best nights sleep I've had in literally years.  I've been hitting the rack around nine-ten pm and sleeping straight through till almost four.  Usually, when in the house I wake up every couple of hours and than at 2:30 am for whatever reason i am awake and out of bed like clockwork.

I know...CSB..just thought I'd share while I sit here wondering if I want to spend the day in the rain at the range or go for a drive somewhere.

dog can't wait!  actually not....in the morning she makes a beeline for the house and the sofa.

haven't made it to those parts....yet...

been to delaware state forest,  Rothrock state forest (never again), and ANF with this setup.  Even ANF was underwhelming.  I went the weekend before labor day weekend and was amazed at the number of people that were in the forest...place was packed.  I realize that with this type of camping it's difficult to really get a "get away from it all" experience, but still...

Potter county is on my list of places to visit.

Also, I still do backpack on occasion, but these days prefer the larger tent.  Its just more comfortable for me..

If your looking to get away from people you shouldn't have a issue in those counties, might be others but those are the one I'm familiar with. Nice tent setup too btw
