Attached File Spotted this dude crawling thru my field yesterday. Never seen one with spineys on its tail before. Any idea what species? |

That's not a turtle it's a tortoise. The only way to tell the difference is to gently stroke its nose. Tortoises like that, they get giddy. Turtles go to sleep. Give us an after action report after you try it. |

Snapping turtle. The honey badger of the reptile world. They willed themselves into existence just because they could. They don't give a fuk about anything . They will attack plaything that gets in there way. They are mean and have a nasty temper. The head and neck is over have the length of the shell. They are very good eating. |

Yummy yummy evil My buddy had one as a pet when we were little, it was a baby and the size of a half dollar. We would feed it minnows and hold twigs in front of its face and watch it snap them in half in the blink of an eye, when it got too big he took it to his pond and let it go A few years ago he ended up shooting it as it was eating the ducklings and all the fish he started to stock. |
