You need to call whoever the road is controlled by and get a permit.
Does your driveway have a clear view both ways? What size pipe in the ditch? The permit should say. The driveway needs to have negative slope off the road and then you can go uphill. You do not want water blasting down it onto the road or anywhere. Try to get a circle or outside parking area that isn't where you would turnaround out of the garage. So if you have company or extra vehicles you can still go in and out. Btw I live on a state Highway I needed a permit and a exception to have 2 driveways on my property. I added a roadway to my backyard. The above is what the state guy did and wrote on my allowance to build a drive. Also had the pipe size I would need. It was a great source of info talking to them. |

My point to this was not how, but where. Wanted to be sure I wasnt missing something super obvious |

Already applied for the permit. Approved as submitted, and pipe and all that is in there. My point to this was not how, but where. Wanted to be sure I wasnt missing something super obvious Leave extra room if you can in places to push piles of snow if you are using gravel so when it melts it leaves the gravel on the drive. |
