Who do you have firearms insurance through? I know the NRA provides $2500 but any of us who are enthusiast easily have more than that in one gun with optics, accessories, ect.
I used to have it through Farmers, but I moved states and guess there is some issue writing in Nebraska that is different than it was in Missouri. Everyone else that is big name that I have called wants serial numbers, and I don't want to do that. |

Eastern Insurance Company. Talk to Jack Richardson.
https://www.easterninsurance.com/insurance-quotes/personal-insurance/historic-firearms They offer an NRA discount and don't need any specifics unless an individual item is valued more than $10,000. Policy also covers all accessories, ammo, etc. I think the most basic policy is $125/year for $30k coverage, or close to that. |
| I've been talking with collections insurance services this past week since this came up here last week and it really sounds good. They claim to cover pretty much anything related to firearms in the policy including optics ammo and reloading stuff. I'd requested a quote of $25k coverage and it was right around $15 a month but I did a more detailed inventory over the weekend and had grossly underestimated so it's gone up quite a bit but still better than any other estimates I've got |

Same. What's the deductible like? Can I get a policy all through their website? Or do I have to talk to someone? You can do most of it through e-mail. Jack will send you a form. You fill it out, he e-mails the rate and any other necessary info back to you. He's very responsive. Only phone call I made was when I called to make payment. That took about a minute at most. |
| I was quoted 50k insurance and 5k reloading and ammo insurance for $175yr from the historic firearms insurance yesterday. They said a $100 deductible so I asked if that's per firearms or per claim and he stated it's per occurrence. This insurance covers accidents as well because I asked about hunting type accidents and he said yes they're covered. I would be interested in hearing about anyone who's made a claim as well if they're out there |

I'm not sure $5k would completely cover what's there between factory and reloading stuff right now but I'm looking at it as more of a catosraphic loss coverage because as the weather gets better I'll be shooting more and maybe or maybe not replacing quite as much till I get it at really good prices. I also forgot to mention they told me the insurance covers all the accessories associated with the gun collection like scopes slings and bipods I specifically asked about my hunting optics and those are coved as well (binos and spotter and range finder) |
