Now you can shoot and open your Rip It at the same time.

First step to TechMarine armor.  Excellent!

Another 8 lbs of shit for some poor Grunt to lug around.

Someone's gonna use to give them self a stranger.

That would be mostly useless and downright hazardous in many situations.  I guess it would reduce fatigue in prolonged Mexican standoff situations
4/5/2017 10:15:22 AM EDT
[#8]
Until you have the powered suit, it looks like extra weight.

Cool idea though, take a piss and shoot badguys at the same time.

Wut N D Fuk is that???

I was hoping for Tech Space Marine claw or something.

Looks like two arms and one wing.

[#11]
here you go dick, hold my gun
4/5/2017 10:16:26 AM EDT
[#12]
I think if they put a M240 on the arm, with one of those ammo backpacks and flexible bullet guides, people might get the idea.

Complete idiocy to release a promo photo with an airsoft M4...
4/5/2017 10:17:44 AM EDT
[#13]
So uh how do I get in on these contracts for stupid ideas and get paid?

Whats next a bunch of remote controlled triggers so that a team of lawyers get to decide if the trigger should even be pulled...

Id still try one if it was donated to me (the third arm wing thing)

M56 Smart Gun compatible?
4/5/2017 10:18:43 AM EDT
[#16]
"The device is made out of carbon fiber composite and it can be used in the prone position on either side of a soldier’s body. It could also improve accuracy and potentially help soldiers deal with recoil, but further testing is needed.Currently, researchers are using an M4 carbine to test the device, but other weapons, such as a M249 squad automatic weapon or M240B machine gun may also be tested."

[#17]
Already been done.

Aliens
4/5/2017 10:21:31 AM EDT
[#18]
The goal of the device would put all of the weight on a soldier’s body, allowing them to potentially have a more lethal weapon, perhaps adding as much as 20 pounds to their traditional combat load of more than 110 pounds, while not adding any burden.

Don't worry soldier, you wont feel a thing.
4/5/2017 10:21:35 AM EDT

I like the idea of being able to have a 20 lb weapon held at ready without arm fatigue.
4/5/2017 10:21:42 AM EDT
[#20]
I'd fall down and impale myself on the goddam thing.

And the point of it would be what exactly?

Looks retarded and stupid.

Looks dumb. I could see maybe augmenting a soldier with a power exoskeleton to reduce fatigue.
4/5/2017 11:07:04 AM EDT
[#27]
Hmm, someone watched aliens.

Would be awesome for weapons larger than the m4.....like the m240b.  Would make them easier to fire from positions other than prone or mounted.

This guy gets it.  Add in an exo suit, a really big gun, and a backpack full of ammo and you have something.  With an M4 all you get is the ability to stay on target while lighting a smoke.

It looks like it was made by an elementary school design team, funded by Lego.
Probably costs $100,000 each.

No no, this is the Army testing it, the Marines aren't looking at this one yet.

That fucking thing is stupid and a waste of money. It'll never do anything useful. Look, it's fragile, heavy, bulky, slow. What retard would put time into something so dumb?
