Neither.

The top one would look better on a race car.

The bottom one would look better on a builder's trucks, website, and buisness cards.

Easily the bottom.

The top could either be D7 or 7D -- who knows?

Interesting I made my comment without reading yours. OP has stumbled upon an outstanding race team logo.

That's only if you have time to look at it for a bit. On a truck going by, I wouldn't be able to tell what it is.

This, I'm hoping the background is just there to keep people from stealing the logo.  If so mission accomplished.

Ignore the background. That's photoshops transparent stock.

It's not meant to seem "checkered flag"
I get the Nascar now.

Change your font, make it more legible / less douchey.

Number 2 and leave it alone.
4/3/2017 5:36:27 PM EDT

The second one, but that's mostly because the first one sucks.

The font is bad.
4/3/2017 5:36:34 PM EDT
[#25]
Well, not #1.  Maybe #2 with a different graphic and font.  Are you locked into D7 as your business name?
4/3/2017 5:36:44 PM EDT
[#26]
Your font style is all wrong for the job I think.

Then #2 is better, don't make the chimney look like that, it won't work with embroidery. The font does not look professional and there's too much empty space. Try putting the name through a break in the house and under the roof. Use a blockier font.

Ok, thanks.

The font is "architecture" font used on blue prints.

Bottom one is better but that typeface is awful and the chimney should have smoke, not a grey flame.

Top one if the company does dirt or mud work, bottom if they build houses and such.

the second one I guess... they both suck OP.

The top one looked like D-Construction when I first glanced at it.  Unless you are in the demolition business, I don't think that is the look you are going for.

Of the two, #2.
Upon first look, I didn't even see what #1 said, #2 was obvious.

I've given up and attempted to drink many beers instead.
That's gone slightly better.

I like the one with the roofs, but the chimney needs to not look like a candle flame.

Good luck.
