Anybody use these in remote locations?

What has your experience been?

Aside from improving phone reception, can you stream with these devices...provided it boosts the signal to "good" levels?

Our signal fluctuates between okay, and not so great.

The area I need to boost for is small...1500sf

Ok, first you need to realize that voice and data on cell phones are on two different bands. There are several "home" solutions that will work for voice, the cost will be %2-300.00 dollars. Data on the other hand can set you back about 400.00. depending on which equipment you choose. I use Wilson equipment at the camper, voice only.

EDIT: Well it seems as if the price has come down, here 'ya go!

In on relevant topic.

I am looking for a solution that works with Voice and Data on a Verizon LTE network.  We are pretty fringy, and acceptable coverage is limited to a small part of the house.

I lived in a rural house in Upstate NY that had a marginal cell signal. A Wilson booster significantly improved both voice and data.

I'm running a Wilson Weboost in my ride. Works well, but it's not going to create a signal where there isn't one.

If you have a newer iPhone check to see if wifi calling is available. We went from no service ever at my house to full 4g LTE and have dropped our landline.

If its on ATT and you have internet, buy a used microcell off eBay and use that.

I want to say it was $30-40 shipped from ebay, easily activated, and it completely fixed my parent's cell issues. In a year and a half they
had to reboot the thing once.

Wi-Fi calling is nice if your phones and internet situation support it.

Service sucked in my neighborhood.  I called up my cell provider and bitched about it.  They sent me an Airwave signal booster for free.  It works great.  Now we have great reception.

Anybody tried a booster in a metal building?  Signal is fine outside, but as soon as you go in, nada.  I get tired of standing by the window.

Also, will your phone go from boosted signal to outside signal or will the call drop, ie.  Your using it where the boosted signal is then you go out and get in your car and drive off, will you drop the call?  Samsung has to be an S6 or newer for WIFI calling.  I have the same question on that.  If you are on Wifi calling and get in your car and drive off will you drop the call when you get out of range or will it automatically switch to the cell network?

This if you have AT&T. I have about 5 microcells at different locations I frequently visit.
