I have a 2017 Chevy Cruze and the USB port for the infotainment system and phone hookup does not work. I have tried the fuses and they are all good. I tried hooking up multiple phones and USB flash drives with nothing being recognized. Any help would be appreciated before I have to take it to the dealership. Thanks.

I would rather not spend half a day there wasting time. That is looking like the only option.

So the first problem is that it's a Chevy.

Send that shit back to the dealership until they fix it.

Also, some new Chevy have the worst dammed infotainment system I've ever experienced. Fuck Chevy.

You need to bring it in and have the software updated and reflashed.

There is nothing you can do about it, it IS a software issue.
There will be no charge for it and they might even give you a loaner (I know we do), as it's going to take about 1 1/2 hours plugged into the programmer.

Is the usb cable a data cable or one for charging that could be it if it isn't a firmware issue like some of the posters mentioned.

Look at the manual and make sure you are following all the steps for connecting/charging. If not, go to dealer and get a reflash.

I have followed the manual for connecting. It is looking like a software issue.
