Converted about 480sq ft of my basement into a gym. I got tired of just having gym equipment in the open so, now there is a dedicated space. 
Hated the drywall, but the estimates I got were insane. I told one company it was about 15 pieces of drywall that needed to be hung. They quoted me on the phone at 800. Showed up and wanted 4k. So, I did the work myself. |

Will you actually use it, that's the question? Yeah, once I started the 5x5 I realized I was going to be short in the weight department soon. I will, I've always been in good or great shape. I fought in the Golden Gloves then went on to play rugby. I just kept getting injured and then we bought this place and there wasn't a good gym within 20 miles. I've turned a corner. Also, expecting my first kid in August and I refuse to be the fat dad. |
Weider adjustable Dumbbells. I have the same set. Looked into all the different adjustable ones for a while. For the price they can't be beat. Comes with stand. Takes a bit to get used to adjustable but they do the job and half the price of the Bowflex. I got them online from Walmart, think they were $269 shipped plus tax. Great space saver. Only downside is they only go to 50lbs.
