Apparently the law here states if streaming video or TV channels are not downloaded then it's up to the owner of the material to police where it can be shown. Internet providers (up here) are loving it since the streams chew up a lot of data and users are charged for extra data used. Of course it's a bone of contention with some folks but how can it be stealing if the copyright owners make it readily available ? It's not free, the cost of it is reflected on your billing from your cable provider. |
