So I'm in the middle of moving and will, over the next couple weeks, be organizing my gun room / workshop area.

I already have a nice craftsman rolling tool box for my important tools and a shelf for ammo cans...

But I've got a whole lot of random parts, slings, rifle furniture, accessories I've picked up that doesn't go with anything I own, etc. (lol) that I want to store in a moderately organized and accessible fashion.

So, I'm looking for ideas for storage bins that are easy to access (i.e. like with drawers, not just staking tubs) for storing small to medium sized items.

Please if you have an pics of how your store your junk, loose tools, fasteners, etc. Lets see them!

Thanks!

All my random crap is thrown into big Rubbermaid totes,  it never fails if I want something it will always be in the bottom of the tote. Thats probably what you're trying to avoid.

Filing cabinet would be my first thought, but with deep drawers you would probably have the same issue.

I use an old Army foot locker for random items that I don't use often.  No drawers but it does have a removable portion which gives allows for storing larger items underneath.  Also gives me the option to put a padlock on it.  Best part is that it seems at place in a gun/military themed room.

Pick your style. I'd recommend something clear and stackable.

^lol, yeah pretty much. All my stuff is just packed in boxes now. Totes wouldn't be much of a step up, for that reason.

I couldn't find any plastic drawers that I was happy with.  They all seemed like flimsy junk.

I went with these:

There's a taller version too.
