My friend died, he had thousands of lead bullets loose, and some in bags that are coming apart.
They are pistol bullets 9 mm, 45, 357, etc. I'm trying to help his widow to sell his stuff. We need some bullet boxes so we can sell these bullets. Plain paper boxes would be great. Does anyone know where we could find anything suitable for this? We would prefer to find some kind of container to hold about 100 bullets. |

How about some of the cheap Tupperware knock off containers you can buy at Walmart?
Edit: I saw where you said thousands of bullets. Maybe look for a 100 pack of 3x3x3 cardboard gift boxes, in plain brown they can be found cheap, or whatever size will hold 100 45 bullets. |

I believe Brownells sells plain white cardboard boxes in various sizes Yep. I've been using these for years: https://www.midwayusa.com/ammo-boxes/br?cid=683 From Amazon (less expensive but has markings): https://www.amazon.com/REPACKBOX-30-Box-Kit-Cardboard/dp/B017Y3DZ1G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486314141&sr=8-1&keywords=repackbox |

I use peanut butter jars for bullets I cast. I just started so I only have a couple jars full, but they hold quite a few. Im guessing about 1000-1200 .30 caliber projectiles.
eta If I was trying to sell some in your situation I'd probably bag them up in heavy ziplock bags and list them in the EE reloading section. Not really sure how much you'll be able to sell them for, but that's what I'd try first. Ship them in a USPS small flat rate box. |

I ordered 223, 308 and 300 BO boxes and really like them. |

Zip lock bags or Tupperware.
Don't over think this, you are selling lead bullets of unknown quality, alloy, or mold. Don't spend any more than necessary. Sell the bullets in single lots by weight, not count. Large lots, don't screw around with tire kickers and tiny quantities. A noob buys 100 bullets. It's not close to a good start. |

I'm sorry. this guy is good to go! |

Rethinking amounts. Probably be sold at auction. Bullets, not loaded rounds. Thinking about maybe 500 or a thousand instead of 100. Thanks |

500 rounds per package min.
Are you going to ship them? I would not use the USPS boxes unless you were going to mail them or for your own use. Might be some fine print that the boxes can only be used to mail stuff. I've mailed a lot of bullets and the boxes need to be stiffened up a bit. I picked one of my early boxes of bullets at the post office and USPS had pushed some of the bullets back into the box where they leaked out of the baggie and box. The workers are a bit rough with the heavy boxes. |
