Morning Arffers!
Just curious about what this community thinks of Trump having the same people responsible for the financial collapse of '08 dictating policy now? Is anyone concerned that the same people that are planning on dismantling the current laws governing their actions (think predatory home loans that created the housing bubble) have clear ties to the organizations that will benefit from deregulation? |

Guys, I'm not trolling.
I'm really curious what your opinion is. I'm getting ready to buy a house and I'm a little bit worried. Fuck, it's not always a disagreement. Most conservatives aren't huge fans of Wall Street and I don't have any first hand knowledge of buying a house in the states. I'mean just trying to figure out if anyone else, who cares about THEIR money, is worried. |

and OP, you should probably dig a bit deeper into what precipitated the housing bubble and Bill Clinton's hand in it...ala the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act.
And I don't a whole bunch of Clintonistas and Bushites in the Trump admin....those dynasties are dead....we MAGA now |

Your not going to convince anyone here that Trump is a Nazi & Guns ate icky, so please go Back to DU troll! No no.....it's best to use these types of posters to motivate you. Existing in an echo chamber breeds complacency....lets not let that happen. Use their hate as fuel for the MAGA machine... |

Goodness sake you danmed leftists, you're only looking at half the problem.
Do you even know about the laws demanding more loans to the impoverished, or the lawsuit filed by Acorn to force banks to give out more bad loans? Just what the hell are they supposed to do with all that garbage you force Fed them? Do you really expect them to commit suicide? Frankly I'd like the folks on both sides held accountable, that is members of the first Clinton regime who passed the initial legislation (bush tried to pass legislation to fix it, guess who blocked that?(and you say your party isn't in league with big business?!)) as well the banks, and the outside forces who lobbied for more bad loans, such as the aforementioned acorn, and George Soros. |

Is there a way to look at a users' post history to see if he has a habit of pulling stuff like this in previous posts? What we need is a user defined title system, where you can give a user a new title/nickname or vote on an existing one then display the one cited most often under their name. |

OP's premise is flawed. Jimmy Carter and the Dems passed the CRA, Bill Clinton and the Dems expanded it, and THAT is what caused the meltdown. What is: - Banks wont lend to minorities and poor. They are practicing discriminatory lending! - Banks lent to buyers who they knew couldnt pay it back. They are practicing predatory lending! The big banks and nice suits werent entirely blameless in the whole fiasco, and without a doubt many of them should have went to jail. But they were simply playing ball on the court built by the Democrats, and to some degree were giving out loans the politicians demanded they give out. Of course once all that fell apart those *same* politicians turned right around and blamed.....wait for it....the banks. Mall-Ninja is right. It was the Democrats fucking with the private markets that set the stage for it all. |

GD thinks that if you ask what's in the Kool Aid you are automatically trolling. I don't think he is asking what's in the Kool aid, arfcom would be a shitty place to do your Kool aid ingredients research, Seems more like he is trying to share his favorite flavor. I come here for entertainment and technical info on firearms, I get my kool aid recipes elsewhere |

LOL You're right, @pgaplayerless would LOVE this one. Meh Dodd-Frank is a legislature passed by congress. Trump can go on telling alternative facts how he's going to "disassemble it" with another wasted EO # but the reality remains that nothing to Dodd Frank will happen unless Congress acts. |
