Thanks. Never thought to look under the grips. Since you know that. What else can you tell me. Number imported? I had one of the 9mm versions that came over in a big lot from China. They were originally M712 Schnellfeuer models that a Naval Factory made new lowers for importation, but left the M712 cut out parts in (Minus the FA sears and things). The 45acp were made by a relatively well off warlord who wanted that type of gun in .45acp because he had a shit ton of Thompsons. Unfortunately, there's no 10rd .45acp clips available but Springfield strippers will hold 5 rounds of .45acp. They're a bitch to load. The Shansei Dragon .45's seem to commanding upwards of $2000, so for what you were offered it for, it would be a very good deal. |
| IIRC, quite a few came in in the 90's, EMF or IAR imported a bunch of refinished Broomhandles of all persuasions and calibers. Not sure what they're going for now, but even the .45's were going for under $800 back then. I bought a 7.63 Mauser refinish, (under $400), put new springs in it, and eventually sold it, the bore was trashed and the cheap-ass surplus Tokarev ammo grouped for shit. |
