I'm not quite sure what it's called but I need a switch that can go between an appliance and the outlet so that it can be automatically shut off after 15-20mins of run time. My wife likes to use the electric blanket due to a circulatory problem. However, then she'll fall asleep and leave it running for hours which make the electric bill jump.
I figure if I can get her something with an egg-time like dial she can set it for a short time, get warmed up and then it'll turn itself off. Any idea what the name of such a thing would be? I tried googling it and it just showed me the typical wall outlet timers for lights that you set to specific times of the day. Thanks -Emt1581 |

Yeah that's what I saw. What I'm looking for is like an egg timer but to disconnect the circuit (shutting off whatever it's plugged into). Thanks though. -Emt1581 |

Thanks though. -Emt1581 Killing the circuit is a bit more involved and expensive. Just go to any box store and buy a timer that plugs into your outlet and plug the blanket in to it. Does the blanket controller not have a timer of some sort? Something cheap like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Prime-Wire-TNI2423-Primewire-2-Outlet-Wall-Tap-with-24-Hour-Electromechanical-Timer/26531550 |

Are you sure it's causing the electric bill to jump?
