 My mother's husband has no one on his side to pass these down to so the have come to me.
Story is that they were his grandfather's WWI bring backs. The Luger is marked 1917 According to colt the 1911 is from 1918. He made a display box out of them in highschool and the school made him remove the firing pins so we have some work to do to get them shooting but this will be a great project for my son's and IÂ I know nothing about l lugers so have to do some reading |

If not that will hurt the value of the pistol. the goal is to get them shooting as a project with my sons (the oldest wants the 1911 and the youngest wants the luger) and then pass them down. |
