My beagle is on the mend, so I chased squirrels today instead of rabbits. Time to make some biscuits

Using CCI SGB .22 LR. Awesome accuracy, knock down, no meat damage.

Nice! I've hunted just about everything that can be hunted in North America but i always have a special place in my heart for squirrel hunting

First animal I ever hunted. Loved chasing squirrels. 12 GA and a load of 4s. Wish I had a good woods to do that in around here, little better than crisp air on your back, slowly walking the woods.

I got me a brace of limb-rats a in October and made pot-pies out of them when I had some family in town. Anyways, we had dinner and when they found out they ate squirrels, they were appalled that we ate that kind of stuff.

I had to remind them that our grandparents also used to eat stuff like opossum and Jello w/ Mayo and bacon grease on everything because that's what they had.

We eat wild game almost daily...venison, grouse, turkey, rabbits.....my favorite by a long stretch is squirrel. I have never understood folks turning  up their nose at them. These squirrels lived in a woodlot between 2 cornfields. Fat as heck, and they will be tasty in a pot pie

I love squirrel as well. I used to eat more of them but now I let my beagles have most of them, I usually don't get enough for everyone.
