It's cold...so I thought it would be a good day to make some Chili.

First, cut some onion

Then some jalepeno

Pablano

Garlic

Beef short ribs

Browned in batches

Then the onion and peppers

Garlic, chili powder, cumin, cayenne

Deglaze with beer

Add tomatoes

Molases

Add in beef

And beans

Stock to desired consistency

Put in oven

Wait several hours, drink bourbon, and cruise AR15

Take out, stir, and let stand a few minutes

Eat!

Not bad but I'd ditch the beer, molasses, and "chili powder" and replace with cumin, black beans, and dark red kidney beans. I'd personally do a couple of more mods but that would be the minimum.

I would normally grind some chili's, but didn't have any on hand today.

9/10 from me. Chili has to have beans. It's just natural to let everyone know you ate chili earlier.
