Anyone ever shot one?

I like odd guns, like the curve and the Ideal Conceal.

So, what's the firsthand opinion of the Taurus Curve?

I've got one. I really like it. It shoots well, and conceals very easily. I wear it IWB in the pulpit when I'm not wearing a jacket to cover anything larger. My wife likes shooting it too!

Bad brand recognition. Only Taurus I've handled personally was a pos. No interest in buying anything from them.

Taurus really is the only company i stay completely away from. I even enjoy Hi-point's carbines very much.

They have some ball player with weird facial hair pimping them in American Rifleman. It's a strange marketing angle.

Ha, yeah, I've seen that ad a couple of times. Anyway, I hate to turn my nose up at a gun just because of the company that makes it, but the company that makes it determines whether it's a good gun, and I haven't bought anything made by Taurus in 10 years or more, because of their continued reputation for poor quality control. It's a shame, because they are an Innovative gun company.

My neighbor bought one. The extractor was so stiff it wouldn't load a round. Took the gun apart and removed the extractor. Sanded it a bit and put it all back together. Supposedly it shoots good now.

JK. I sold a few at Academy. Seems like a gimmicky POS. Save a few bucks up and get a G42 or a Shield. But, its your funeral.
