So my spoiled rotten son got a MacBook for Xmas. We told him he could have an Xbox or a laptop. He chose the laptop since he could use it for school too (he's in middle school). When I was at the Apple Store, they had a Nimbus Controller which looks just like an Xbox controller. I figured since he made a better choice with the laptop over the Xbox, it would be a good add on present.
I am computer illiterate. Especially when it comes to video games. My dilemma is trying to figure out which games he can download which use the Nimbus controller. He tried downloading two games, but neither of them work with the controller. Anyone have any suggestions or can help me figure this out? TIA! |

XPadder Never mind. Only for PC/Windows. ETA: A LOT of games play better with mouse and keyboard. You don't NEED a controller to play them. Try the KB/mouse first and see how it goes. |

PC games that include controller functionality will usually list that somewhere near the game's system specs.
Steam is the best place for your son to get PC games and there is a legend usually on the right hand side of the store page that lists controller functionality if the game has it. Most PC games play way better with a mouse and keyboard so compatibility isn't usually that big a deal. |

Do you have a link? |

Do you have a link? http://store.steampowered.com/ Driving games are better on a controller than a K/M, but for most anything else he's better off with K/M since you can do more and do it faster. That said, a laptop keyboard and touchpad aren't really ideal. The laptop's keyboard with an external mouse would be a big improvement. |
