Ok, I'm pretty dumb with these things, so bear with me. I'm looking for a smartwatch. It wouldn't necessarily be an all-day wear, as I work in a place that doesn't allow electronics. But it seems one of these would be convenient on weekends or on trips, etc. Not sure how good these things are for the gym, as I run with a Garmin Forerunner to use GPS to track my runs.

My constraints are:
iOS compatible
No hard budget, but around $120 or less would be nice
Prefer it not sell my info to the Chinese

From a fitness standpoint.. A fitbit is pretty much a shitty pace counter and a shitty HR monitor. The vibrating alarm is pretty handy. I haven't used the gps enabled ones.

I think it's best purpose is a constant reminder on your wrist to not eat/drink like an asshole, and move a little each day.

Your garmin watch probably already covers those features.

I have the Garmin Vivo (without heart beat monitor) . It's paired to my iPhone 6. I like it a lot but wish I had spent the extra cash and gotten the heart rate version.
