I'm loosing my shit! Can't figure out Xbox one and my Google fu is week. Trying to play halo. Figured out how to add controllers for 4 players. Now I need it to only see 2. How do I do this. If I turn one off I get an error about it being disconnected. Can't play campaign co op with 4 connected.

Try holding power for 10 seconds on console until it shuts down.

Then press and hold the Xbox icon in the center of controller 1 to turn the console on.

Once it's on then press the Xbox icon on controller 2 to turn it on.

3 & 4 should be off and just 1/2 connected.

alternatively, pull the batteries out of controller 3 & 4.

it's been a while since I played Halo but I don't recall being able to play 4 on campaign, only multiplayer

Right we had been playing 4 ppl on multiplayer. Then we're trying to switch to 2 ppl for campaign. Had to reboot the Xbox to boot the other 2 players. Will try the battery trick next time.
