Strictly from an engineering perspective, I'd say its actually pretty novel, and would bet that to get the actions to work correctly with the selector took a bit of work. The butt stock magazine is also a neat feature.
But in aesthetics and execution, it comes up far short. Just because its a good idea, doesn't mean you should build it, nor would anyone really want it. |

Back when I was first getting into guns I wrote a story where the main characters favorite gun was called the Close In Weapon Mk 1. Essentially it was a PPS-43 submachine gun bolted to the top of an Ithaca 37. Glad I know more about guns now and I give my characters somewhat more practical weapons. But even that sounds like a more practical weapon that this contraption. I mean, you have to send it back to the factory to have it cleaned!? 
There was a guy trying to sell one of those things at the local shows here for years. Guess someone bought it or he gave up. |
